Story of Livingston Simango

"I am living a better life because of this Company. When I joined CTM, I lived in and RDP house, now I stay in town and own my home. The brand lives up to its motto, 'Everyone deserves a beautiful home'."
Livingston matriculated in 1992, but due to lack of funds, he was unable to further his education at a tertiary institution, and instead, found employment as a queue marshal at a taxi rank. In time, beacause of his entrepreneurial drive, he left his job to start a spaza shop. Over the years, he held several other occuaptions, including that of a bakery salesman and a taxi driver. In 1999, Livingston joined CTM Louis Trichardt, where he worked as an all-rounder, doing sales, building displays and making deliveries.

Story of Melvyn Jansen

"This Company teaches us business skills and how to grow. We are constantly encourage to be the best and never settle for less."
Melvyn Jansen joined Italtile Retail in 1991 as a truck assistant. After working for two years as a driver, he was promoted to showroom tiler. At the same time, he started serving as a trainee salesperson on weekends, which he enjoyed and excelled at. Recognising his talent, management promoted him to the temporary position of sales consultant, for a six-month trial period. His success in this role resulted in him being appointed permanently to the sales team.

Story of Ronnie Letebele

"The most important things I have learned from the Group are honesty, integrity, transparency – and that you should not stop growing."
Ronnie Letebele joined the Italtile Group in 2003 as a student (his first job at CTM Atterbury was to recycle damaged adhesive bags). Working hard and gaining lots of experience led to his promotion in time to Sales Assistant at CTM Menlyn and subsequently CTM Strydom Park. Following a one-year mentorship programme, he was transferred back to CTM Menlyn as Assistant Manager.
